The Tennessee Governor's Schools provide 11 challenging and high-intensity programs for rising 11th and 12th grade students. Each school offers a unique learning environment for students interested in the arts, humanities, agriculture science, STEM programs, advanced mathematics, physics, leadership, international studies, Tennessee history, or potential teaching careers. Students interested in participating in a Governor's School should complete the online application; see link to it below. The Adventure Science Center is hosting the Annual TWISTER Conference. This event encourages young women in grades 9 -12 to explore exciting career opportunities in STEM fields.

Sophomores and juniors may sign up between now and Sept. 12th in the Counseling Center. The test is $19 and will take place on October 28th.
You can now sign up for the Preliminary SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, or the PSAT/NMSQT. The PSAT/NMSQT is a standardized test that measures college and career readiness skills in Reading & Writing and Math. It serves two main purposes: to provide students with a preliminary assessment of their skills compared to the digital SAT and to act as the screening and qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. High-achieving student who take the PSAT/NMSQT in their junior year are eligible to compete for academic recognition and scholarships through the National Merit Scholarship Program.
