Library Media Specialists

I grew up in West TN and graduated from Scotts Hill High School. I moved to Middle Tennessee after high school for college. I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, visiting new places, True Crime, binge watching shows and listening to audio books. Concerning my educational background, I went to Middle Tennessee State University and received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with secondary education and history minors. In 2016, I obtained my Master's degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Library and Informational Sciences.

This is my tenth year at LHS and eighth year as a library media specialist. I love my job and how it gives me the ability to collaborate with teachers and students as well as work with technology and literacy on a regular basis. I am passionate about the work that I do and love working with the students and teachers here at LHS.

This will be my tenth year as a full-time librarian in Wilson County and my first year at LHS!

I received my Bachelors degree from MTSU in Recording Industry Management.  After working in the music industry for 15 years, I decided to stay home after having children.  During that time, I went back to school and earned my Master of Education degree from MTSU.

I enjoy spending time with my husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs.  I enjoy traveling, reading and listening to podcasts.  As a school librarian, I am looking forward to a wonderful year getting to know students, helping with research, picking out books, and learning from everyone in the school community.
